Computer embroidery pattern making, also known as ribbon making

Computer embroidery pattern making, also known as ribbon making, refers to the process of making cards, ribbons, or discs, or preparing patterns through digitization and other processing to guide or stimulate various movements required for embroidery machine and embroidery frame design. The designer of this process is the pattern maker. This term comes from the mechanical embroidery machine that records stitches by punching holes in paper tape. Whether it is a mechanical or electronic embroidery machine, the purpose of recording stitches is to enable the embroidery machine to recognize and execute its actions. It may use a needle connected to a horizontal and vertical rod, mechanically or with a mouse or more modern methods, to record the points required to form the pattern.
